Account Manager - SMB

A full-time hybrid role in Cambridge, UK

Our Account Management team plays a key role in how we grow. You’ll be working with customers who are already using the platform, but often haven’t fully realised the value they could be getting from it. That’s where this role comes in.

As our customer base grows, so does the need for better coverage and more consistent engagement. This quota carrying role is about creating more capacity, building stronger customer relationships, and driving more predictable growth from existing accounts.

    • Own a portfolio of SMB customers, driving expansion and new product adoption across accounts with strong growth potential.
    • Take responsibility for expansion outcomes, managing a high-volume book of 200–500 accounts and prioritising where to focus.
    • Work closely with Customer Success Managers to align on account strategy and maximise long-term customer value.
    • Run structured discovery to understand customer needs, maturity, and where Gearset can add more value.
    • Manage multiple opportunities in parallel, maintaining a consistent, high-quality approach to execution.
    • Apply a structured, repeatable engagement model that scales across your portfolio without relying on bespoke enterprise sales motions.
    • Build strong relationships with technical and commercial stakeholders while maintaining clear pipeline and forecast visibility.

    • Consistently hit or exceed expansion and growth targets within the SMB segment.
    • Drive strong product attach and increased customer lifetime value.

    • Build the judgement and execution quality needed to progress into Strategic Account Management.
    • Be a reliable, high-standard contributor within the Growth organisation.
