You can use Gearset to back up the data in any of your environments.
Gearset will store your data on a fully encrypted AWS database in the data storage location you chose when setting up your Gearset account.
To set up a backup job, head over to the burger menu in the top left and scroll down to data backup jobs.
Click create a backup job.
Start by giving your backup job a name.
Here, you can select any Salesforce org that you've connected to Gearset.
You can adjust your daily API call uses limit, set a time for your backup to run daily, set your attention policy, and choose to enable your first backup to start once you've saved this job.
If you head over to notifications, you can choose for these to be sent to you on every run or if the run fails.
You can also choose a number of different ways to be notified.
By setting up smart alerts, you could be notified with more specific changes.
If you wanted to be notified when a certain number or percentage of a record are added, removed, or changed, you can set these up here.
In the filtering tab, you'll see that Gearset's already given you a recommended filter. But should you wish to manually configure what is captured, you can do so here.
We'll share more information about manual configurations at the end.
Finally, in permissions, you can assign the level of access you want to grant to your team.
Once you're happy with your settings, press save.
And now you've got your very first backup job.
You can always edit these settings after you've created your job.
