Giving credit where due: I had to move data from production to a developer org this week. The relationships were plenty and I couldn't fathom doing it manually 1 file at a time. Thanks to @GearsetHQ the data migration was easy breezy including anonymizing sensitive data! #score— Joshua Hoskins ☁ (@jhoskins) October 17, 2019
User rating of
Gearset's data loader
Gearset instances and storage are hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), the same data centers trusted by Salesforce and Heroku.
Secure OAuth authentication ensures that user passwords are never stored on our servers so you can connect safely to all of your Salesforce orgs.
Gearset ensures that data is encrypted both at rest, using AES 256, and an in transit, using the latest SSL standards (SSL Report).
Data support can be purchased as an addition to your subscription. There are two tiers: Data Loader and Data Compliance. Data Loader costs $100 per Gearset user, per month, and gives you the core functionality for data deployments. Data Compliance costs $200 per Gearset user, per month, and includes everything in Data Loader, plus data masking to protect your confidential information and help you comply with regulations on data protection, such as the CCPA or the GDPR. Please note that data support can only be purchased as a teamwide add-on. For example, if you have 3 Gearset users, the cost of data support will be $300/month for Data Loader, or $600/month for Data Compliance.
Once data support has been purchased, a Gearset team owner can enable the data deployment functionality for the whole team via the account page in the app.
The data you deploy isn't stored by Gearset, but it does pass through our servers to allow us to run data deployments. After a data deployment completes, the data is automatically disposed of by the service. As with metadata, it is encrypted at all times when in transit or at rest. Learn more on our security page.
When creating a Gearset account, users choose a data storage location - either the US or the EU. All user data, including metadata and any org data, is then handled solely by an AWS data center in the relevant region - either Oregon (US West 2) or Ireland (EU West 1). This includes any backups taken as part of our disaster recovery program.
Gearset does not outsource any development or support - this is all handled in-house.
Gearset's service architecture and policies are designed to be in full compliance with GDPR. For more information on this, please ask for our GDPR compliance statement.
Gearset has been audited and certified to the international information security standard ISO/IEC 27001:2013.
Absolutely. With Gearset, you can migrate and deploy your Salesforce data between any two organizations.
