Let's restore a record back into our org from our backup jobs.

First, select job history, and then scroll down and select which backup run you wish to restore from.

Click view changes.

Choose which object you wish to restore and click view records.

You'll now see all records from that object displayed in this run. And along the top bar, you can filter these by deleted, changed, or new records.

Once you have selected the records you would like to restore, you can click restore from previous backup.

Our recommended method is to restore with dependent objects, but we'll show more about the other methods at the end.

You'll be able to see your selected objects and all dependencies, which you can choose to include in your deployment.

You can choose how your deploy will act in the event of an error by choosing to stop the remaining records or continuing to deploy.

When you click continue, Gearset will create a deployment plan and check for any problems.

Gearset will also identify any validation rules, triggers, and flows that may impact your restoration, and you can choose to deactivate them.

Once you're happy, you can head over to your pre deployment summary.

You can take a look at a detailed plan for your restoration or click deploy data.

And now you have successfully restored your data.

You can reactivate any flows, triggers, or rules you deactivated by clicking this button.

For a full audit history, click on the burger menu in the top left hand corner and click on data deployment history.
