Description
Choosing the right Salesforce DevOps tool is critical for your team’s success. Learn from real-world experiences, like Thumbtack’s, how Gearset’s onboarding and setup is far easier than Copado.
Seamless set up with Gearset:
- Fully functioning in half the time: Hear how Thumbtack spent a month implementing Copado (leading to ongoing challenges). By contrast, Thumbtack found Gearset delivered full functionality — including version control and integrations in only two weeks.
- Avoid deployment friction from day one: Teams switching from Copado often mention initial and ongoing issues with slow deployments (sometimes over an hour), poor accuracy, and confusing errors. Gearset’s clear comparison and deployment model helps you sidestep this friction from the beginning, enabling faster, dependable first deployments and setting you up for reliable releases.
- Intuitive for your whole team: Copado’s setup often proves difficult, even for experienced technical team members. Gearset significantly reduces the learning curve, getting your entire team productive quickly — without getting stuck on complex architecture.
Find out why teams consistently choose Gearset because it removes common barriers to adopting DevOps. By cutting setup time and reducing complexity, Gearset helps teams of all sizes get the benefits of streamlined Salesforce DevOps much faster, and with less frustration than alternative solutions.

Sort of like our lead admin at the time took that on. She's incredibly capable, maybe one of the best admins I've ever worked with.
And it took her a month of working with Capado to and and at the time, our lead developer, to have it integrated fully in Salesforce functioning and working with GitHub.
So it was, you know, roughly a month for them to get it functioning properly. And, I don't wanna speak for her, but it didn't seem like it was an easy thing. She she's incredibly talented and capable, and it seemed like it was still difficult to make sure it functioned properly.
You know, I think it it was a leading indicator of what our experience with Caputo was gonna be for the rest of our time with them, where you encounter these weird issues that you weren't expecting that take a little bit to resolve.
And so it was, you know, a solid month for Caputo, and that's why we didn't expect to be able to get GearSat up and running.
And, it was a a very pleasant surprise to then have a two week window where it wasn't just, you know, integrated, but it was integrated and fully functional, and we were running things through the system. So, you know, two weeks to four weeks, and just a far more positive launch experience with Gear Set than we have with Caputo.
