I came to DevOps Dreamin' last year. It was very beneficial for us. Really lifted that fog of war.
One of the reasons I'm here is just brings more of that engineering culture into what I do as well as my organization.
I guess it's been refreshing. I found this to be a little more accessible. It is welcoming as far as meeting people and having people from all walks of their careers attend.
It's nice to see there are other people out there as passionate as me about DevOps.
For us, it's a great opportunity to meet with people across the ecosystem to understand what are the things that are most important right now.
DevOps streaming gives you a really good learning experience.
My main goal is to see what technology is available, what tools are available that we might want to adopt. Being able to connect with other people who are either adopters of that that tool or who use similar tools. Share ideas, share what works, share what doesn't work.
I've learned things both DevOps related and completely outside of DevOps that have been, very valuable to me.
I'm a huge data person, love data, love clean data. Came with a coworker. He's a developer. I'm system admin, so it's also building that relationship. He and I are the definition of DevOps. How those intersect and work together. I think it's been a growing and learning experience for us as well, but I'm just excited to go back.
I thought Charlie's talk this morning was awesome. It genuinely did change the way that I thought about approaching a project. I'm a big fan of Jack. I always appreciate how he brings in a very human element to work that he does. I think remember him saying, you know, the future of DevOps is human centered. Right?
And I think that's a great reminder of why we do what we do.
As far as the sessions though, when you can actually get hands on, you really get a lot more learning out of that feedback.
Why should people attend? This is cool. These are great. Right? Great people. I think great knowledge shared.
It's a pretty relaxed event. There's really something for everybody, whether you're an admin or a dev, a release manager, whether you're looking to build a new team.
Overall, it has been a very positive experience. I would definitely look to attend next year again. From beginner to advanced, there could be value had from attending.
I think it's great to just keep up with the knowledge, keep up with what's changing.
