To achieve Gearset’s ambitious targets, driving growth through customer retention and existing business expansion is essential. We’re hiring a Customer Marketing Manager to work collaboratively across teams to develop and execute a customer marketing program that drives product expansion, fosters loyalty, and ensures they remain engaged and successful. This role is a 12-month maternity cover contract.
As a Customer Marketing Manager at Gearset, you’ll work closely with our Customer Success, Product, and Sales teams to understand customer needs and business goals. You’ll build marketing programs that foster customer engagement, loyalty, and product adoption, ensuring our customers remain successful and excited to grow with Gearset.
What’s the opportunity for a Customer Marketing Manager at Gearset?
- Collaborate with commercial leaders and the wider marketing team to develop and iterate on the strategy and roadmap for Customer Marketing, identifying and executing on opportunities to drive growth within our existing customer base.
- Drive customer retention, growth and product adoption by aligning campaigns with the needs of our users and business goals
- Partner with Sales and CS teams to align positioning and campaign plans with the joint business objectives, ensuring we’re all pulling in the same direction.
- Influence customer advocacy and play a key role in telling the story of Gearset’s impact
- Strive for continuous improvement using data-driven insights, campaign performance, and feedback and guidance from internal teams and customers.
What you’ll achieve
- Own and deliver the customer marketing strategy, executing data-driven customer marketing campaigns and initiatives end-to-end
- Design and deliver cross-sell campaigns for specific products, aligning with Sales and CS on our strategic priorities.
- Working with Product and CS teams to identify suitable messaging for target segments of customers/ specific product campaigns.
- Collaborating with the content team to produce content resources such as blog posts, whitepapers, and guides tailored to customer needs.
- Plan and manage campaign activities, including newsletters, drip email nurture, webinars, events, and in-product activations. Monitor and evaluate campaign performance and impact
- Support advocacy through driving case studies and leveraging the voice of the customer
- Deliver and support on bespoke customer events, including virtual training workshops as well as ancillary activities surrounding Salesforce events
About you
- Previous experience in Marketing, preferably in a SaaS environment
- A proactive team player, willing to learn and seek out information and take on responsibility
- Your communication and interpersonal skills are excellent, allowing you to build and maintain relationships with customers and internal teams.
- You’ll have a proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns tailored to your target audience, working cross-functionally to integrate campaigns with broader business objectives
- Strong analytical skills to measure performance, and good experience with marketing automation tools
- You are a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Great to haves
- Experience in customer marketing, communications, advocacy, or ABM is useful but not essential
- Familiarity with Salesforce ecosystems and customer success initiatives
Salary and benefits (the stuff you’d expect!)
- Salary is £45–60k (depending on experience)
- This is a full time opportunity, working Monday to Friday with the option of flexible home working (for most of us that looks like 2–3 days a week in the office)
