Employer Brand Manager

A full-time hybrid role in Cambridge, UK

It’s an exciting time to join Gearset! In the last few years we’ve rocketed from a 7 person start-up to nearly 250 people, and we’re only just getting started. We know the value of a great company culture, and we’re looking for an Employer Brand Manager to translate our culture into meaningful ways to lead and grow our external employer brand, and internally in our comms throughout our employee experience.

What’s the opportunity for an Employer Brand Manager at Gearset?

Building a unique, differentiated employer brand will require someone who is creative, that understands what it takes to stand out in a competitive marketplace for talent, and who’s super passionate about continuing to drive a culture internally which our team are proud to be part of.
  • Your work will directly impact the engagement of our team in our company values, goals and culture and will build a lasting employer brand which differentiates and celebrates the strengths of our culture, in ways which connects us to the best talent.

What you’ll achieve

  • Shape and craft how our EVP is embedded throughout every moment that matters in our employee experience.
  • Own the consistency in the messaging of our internal tone of voice and proactively identify opportunities to reinforce our key messages. 
  • Lead in the delivery of internal and external events where our focus is building our employer brand, and engagement in Gearset.
  • Share the stories of our culture, people and company goals, in innovative, differentiated and compelling ways to different audiences and personas.
  • Manage our recruitment focussed social media channels and careers sites - ensuring that every touchpoint gives our candidates the best experience and reflects our EVP.
  • Develop the metrics to measure your impact in enhancing our employer brand externally and in our internal ambassadorship.
  • Manage our entries into top employer recognition awards to benchmark us against others and showcase our strengths.

About you

  • Have strong communications, marketing or employer brand experience - where you’ve been responsible for owning, leading and executing the strategy 
  • Have a bias towards action - with an ability to focus and deliver results (this is a hands-on role)
  • Have excellent interpersonal, influencing and relationship building skills - you’ll need to influence and get buy-in across Gearset with key stakeholders
  • Decisive and able to prioritise the most impactful activities - proven ability to use data to inform decision making to drive and measure results
  • Proven ability to generate original, meaningful and creative content across multiple channels for different personas 
  • Experienced in driving results through the creation and delivery of campaigns 
  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills are essential

Great to haves

  • Experience of growing employer brand internationally 
  • Experience working in a high-growth SaaS environment
  • UX experience 

Salary and benefits (the stuff you’d expect!)

  • Salary is £50-60k (depending on experience)
  • This is a full time opportunity, working Monday to Friday with the option of flexible home working (for most of us that looks like 2-3 days a week in the office)
