Changes to Gearset's static IP addresses

From the 2nd May 2018, as part of a planned upgrade to our service infrastructure, Gearset requests will begin originating from additional IP addresses. If you're using IP whitelisting, you may need to update your lists to accommodate the changes.
Scaling our infrastructure as we grow
Gearset has been growing rapidly over the past couple of years. To ensure we can continue to provide you with the fast and reliable service you expect, we're making some changes to scale our app infrastructure. It also lays the groundwork for some exciting changes to Gearset coming later this year, but more on that later!
Currently, all Gearset requests come from a single IP address,
220.127.116.11. After the changes, requests will begin coming from three additional IP addresses, listed below. This will affect connections to your orgs, source control systems, and any other integrated services.
These changes will begin to take effect from the 2nd May. The service will be available throughout the change and there is no planned downtime as a result of these changes.
Do I need to change anything?
If you haven't previously manually whitelisted our IP, you don't have to do anything.
If you're using IP whitelisting, you may need to update your lists to accommodate the changes. This may be if you:
- Are utilising Salesforce Network Access Trusted IPs
- Restricting profiles to certain Login Ranges
- Have Gearset connected to Jira or version control services which are behind a firewall or other whitelisting system
If you don't update your whitelists, you may encounter issues connecting to the orgs or version control systems with whitelisting in place.
