Gearset Challenge — Cambridge Beer Festival 2025 — Terms and Conditions
- The competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary. The competition is open to anyone aged 18 years or over, except employees of the Promoter, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw. One entry per person, per email address. By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, you must not enter the competition.
- The competition will be open to enter at the Cambridge Beer Festival between Monday 19th May and Saturday 24th May. The competition will close at 10:30pm on Saturday 24th May.
- To enter you must (i) scan the QR code on Gearset beer mats at the Cambridge Beer Festival; (ii) answer the Challenge question and(iii) submit your answer together with the requested information through the Challenge website.
- All entries received before the closing time will be judged by the Promoter after the event, and all entries with correct answers will be entered into a prize draw. The decision of the Promoter (acting reasonably) will be final.
- A winner will be chosen from the correct entries by random draw performed by a computer process after all entries have been judged on Thursday 29th May 2025 (the “Draw Date”). Odds of winning depend on the number of correct entries.
- The winner will be announced on LinkedIn at around 2:00pm on Thursday 29th May.
- The winner will be notified by email, using the email address provided, within 3 working days of the Draw Date. If the winner does not respond within 7 days of being notified to confirm acceptance of their prize, then their prize will be forfeited and the Promoter will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
- The winner will receive an Amazon gift voucher worth £50.00 sent by email, to the email address supplied, within 10 days of confirming acceptance. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and no cash alternative is offered.
- The Promoter will send the names of the judge, the surname and county of the winner, and evidence of their winning entry, to anyone who requests those details by email to jobs@gearset.com or by post to Gearset Challenge – Cambridge Beer Festival 2025, Gearset Limited, The Bradfield Centre, Cambridge Science Park Road, Cambridge, United Kingdom, CB4 0GA (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the Draw Date. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter via email to jobs@gearset.com. The Promoter may still provide the information to any relevant authorities or regulators on request.
- The Promoter reserves the right to (i) replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value; (ii) refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions; and (iii) void, cancel, suspend, or amend the competition where it becomes necessary to do so. The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
- The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault of any kind. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
- Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will only be processed as set out in these Terms & Conditions and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.
- The competition and these terms and conditions are subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the United Kingdom.
